Beyond the Stitch, Vol. 1 No. 4 was posted tonight to all members! It’s absolutely amazing to me how full our calendars is/are/can be if we let them be with knitting opportunities!!!!! Amazing!
Hope to see everybody at Sycamore Hospital tomorrow evening — 5:00 pm in the Cafeteria for Row counter workshop, Nominating Committee, 7:00 pm in the upstairs conference room for our meeting: an interactive presentation by Karen Behr. Karen is a knitting instructor and teaches all levels of knitting. She will be sharing with us some cast on methods, techniques and tips. Did you know that there are hundreds of ways to cast on stitches for a knitting project? Karen will explain the best applications and have sample to show finished edges. Bring a set of knitting needles and some yarn to try some of the cast ons along with Karen. She suggests a US size 7-10 needle and a small ball of worsted weight yarn.
Bring any questions or edges you have worked and want critiqued for how a different cast on could have helped. You will find Karen very kind, friendly and patient.
You can find Karen on Ravelry as KareBehr.
See you there!!!
