Over the last few months, there have been several requests for help with different cast-on techniques. We are dedicating this meeting to learning and/or improving our cast-ons. Our program will begin with an overview of 6 different cast-on techniques and the best uses for each. Then, similar to Round-Robin, we will break into groups to learn the different cast-on methods along with any associated tips and tricks, such as learning how to eliminate those pesky dangly strings along the cast-on edge when using the backward loop method and finding out how to determine the length of yarn needed for the long-tail cast on.
Please bring some light colored yarn along with needles and a crochet hook of the appropriate size for your yarn weight.
Our meetings are open to anyone. You don’t have to be a member.
